Like the rest of Žumberak, Sošice is unique for its offer. In the center you can visit the Monastery of the Sisters of St. Basil, and see the two churches of different rites in the same yard. Convent of the Sisters of St. Basil’s was built in 1938 with support from local residents. Since the sisters of St. Basil held the household courses and Žumberak’s children learned the first letters to them, the nuns were much appreciated.
Within the monastery an ethnographic museum was open in 1976 where you can see a collection of folk costumes, various dishes and tools, weaving accessories, etc. Just a few steps from the monastery is a place where the Roman Catholic Chapel and a Greek Catholic church are built next to each other.
