Nature park "Zumberak" has 350 km2,
protected by the law 28th of May 1999.
The purpose of declaring the area as nature park was to protect and promote its natural beauties.
The law defines that Nature park is natural or partly inhabited area with obvious estethical, ecological and educational,
cultural, historical or turistical values with ongoing activities that do not endanger its characteristics.

What to see
With its natural beauty and tradition, this area most certainly
deserves the "title" of Nature park. It is remote hill area
southwest of Zagreb, with attitudes from 180 to 1178 meters (the highest peak -Sveta Gera).
Eastern part is lower and segmented, consisting of Samoborska gora hill with Japetic peak (871 meters) and Plešivica peak (780 meters) and many valleys of small creeks. The are is completly rural without a single town.
